Multiplicity and periodicity are very important features of dynamical systems. Their interplay with bifurcation, invariant sets, and chaos can hardly be overemphasized. The special session brings together experts who have worked on at least one of the two properties for either differential or difference equations. The goal is to foster a fruitful exchange of ideas and methods of investigation between researchers in discrete and continuous dynamical systems.

The official talks of this Special Session will take place on Thursday 13 and Saturday 15, June 2002.
